Our February 2025 Adapt Achiever, Gary Hull, exemplifies what it means to lead with integrity, problem-solving, and a hands-on approach. In his role as Maintenance Manager, Gary plays a vital part in keeping Adapt’s facilities safe, functional, and efficient. From emergency repairs to complex facility upgrades, he works tirelessly to support day-to-day operations across multiple locations. “Every day brings new challenges,” Gary says. “Helping to keep the company running as smoothly as possible is what motivates me.”
Gary’s leadership style is grounded in collaboration and humility. He’s known for jumping in to assist with any task, large or small. Case Bowman, Director of Facilities Management, notes, “He doesn’t put himself above a task – he provides whatever support is needed for the team to succeed.” Whether tackling electrical issues, plumbing needs, or building infrastructure, Gary consistently offers reliable expertise and mentorship to his team.
His impact is visible across the organization. Notably, he personally installed industrial-scale pumps at Winston Behavioral Medicine – a project typically handled by contractors. He’s also contributed to renovations and improvements at the Jackson Street Basement, Progress Pointe, 511 Stephens, and Winston Primary Care. Through each project, Gary helps the agency reduce outsourcing and maintain smooth, cost-effective operations.
Moreover, Gary’s attention to detail and creative problem-solving continue to earn recognition. “Gary’s tireless efforts to thoughtfully and thoroughly address maintenance issues are irreplaceable,” adds Case. “He employs clever solutions with impressive judgment.” Even when juggling external demands, Gary remains responsive, steady, and committed to excellence.
