by Kelsey Brown—IPS Supported Employment Supervisor

Adapt’s IPS Supported Employment Program remains steadfast in its mission to support client employment goals. This quarter’s data reflects our ongoing dedication to this mission.

Client Engagement and Achievements

In the final quarter of 2023, our program served 41 clients, each pursuing personal career aspirations. Out of these, 17 are currently employed, marking a significant stride in their vocational journeys. The quarter saw 7 new job starts, signaling the program’s effective strategies in job acquisition.

Current Employment Statistics

  • The employment rate for those engaged with the IPS Supported Employment Program stands at an inspiring 42.5%. This indicates a proactive quarter, with many clients securing employment.
  • The remaining 57.5% of participants are still on their path to finding suitable employment.
  • When considering all active adult mental health (MH) clients, the employment rate is 28.45%, with a 65.20% unemployment rate and 6.33% falling into an unknown status. This broader perspective underscores the importance of our program in aiding clients who are actively seeking employment.

Reflection on the Numbers

The increase in employment rate from last quarter to 42.5% among IPS participants is a testament to the program’s effectiveness and the determination of our clients. While there is an unemployed segment, it’s essential to recognize the journey rather than just the destination. Each step taken is a part of the success story we are writing together.

The employment rate among all active adult MH clients provides insight into the broader context of our community’s employment landscape. It serves as a reminder of our commitment to reach and assist every client in their employment endeavors.

Looking Ahead

As we acknowledge the progress made, we also see the scope for continual improvement. The program is about more than job placement; it’s about ensuring that employment is meaningful and sustainable, matching the skills and interests of our clients with the right opportunities.

The Q4 data is a narrative of advancement and optimism. With each client’s progress, Adapt’s IPS Supported Employment Program reinforces its impact, offering extensive support and fostering positive outcomes in our community. As we move forward, we are excited to build on this quarter’s achievements and support even more success stories.
