Introducing Dr. Cora Hart, a distinguished psychologist and the Chief of Behavioral Medicine at Adapt Integrated Health Care. Dr. Hart has dedicated her career to the integration of medical and behavioral health to enhance patient outcomes.
Dr. Hart has been a pivotal member of the Adapt team since 2014, starting as a Behavioral Health Consultant in Primary Care. Her extensive background includes work in children’s hospitals, inpatient hospice care, and VA medical centers, which has prepared her to lead Adapt’s behavioral medicine initiatives effectively.
Dr. Hart completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at Harding University, followed by a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Southern Methodist University. Her academic and professional training have equipped her with the expertise needed to oversee complex behavioral health programs.
Dr. Hart’s commitment to Adapt stems from her passion for integrating behavioral health into primary care, aiming to create a holistic approach to health that benefits patients across all spectrums of care.
As the Chief of Behavioral Medicine, Dr. Hart oversees Adapt’s primary care behavioral health and Medication Assisted Treatment services. She also manages key research projects and serves as a Site Principal Investigator for the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network.
Dr. Hart is driven by a vision to advance the seamless integration of behavioral and medical health services at Adapt. Her goal is to enhance the efficacy of patient care through innovative treatments and evidence-based practices.
