Kendra Harris, LCSW, CADC III – Training Academy Coordinator

Over the past decade, Kendra Harris has made an extraordinary impact at Adapt Integrated Health Care, moving from an intern to a leader shaping the future of care. Now serving as Training Academy Coordinator, Kendra helps provide education, training, and structured support to those serving patients during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. “What I enjoy most is helping provide education to individuals who are engaging with patients at their most critical times,” she shares.
Kendra’s work is transformative, both for Adapt and for the broader community. She has built a thriving CADC internship program, ensuring aspiring counselors receive high-quality training and structured, supported pathways into the profession. She also led the development of Adapt’s OHA-approved peer support training, expanding opportunities for individuals to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kendra’s personal journey is an inspiration. “I was a patient in Adapt Corrections in 2014 – pregnant, homeless, and hopeless,” she reflects. Through determination and the support of Adapt’s programs, Kendra rose to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III (CADC III), earning her associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees along the way.
Today, Kendra brings that same spirit of resilience and growth to her work with others. “Adapt has supported me in achieving my education and professional goals while also helping me build a foundation for my recovery,” she says. “I would not be where I am today without the amazing and strong leaders who guided and supported me.” Her journey reflects the core of Adapt’s mission: believing in people’s ability to change and supporting their paths forward.
Kendra’s colleagues describe her as a creative thinker, problem solver, and a constant source of positivity. “She encourages the same positivity in others and is quick to say yes to new projects,” says Lisa Hubbard, Director of Training and Staff Development. Her energy and vision continue to inspire both her peers and the next generation of care providers.
From patient to leader, Kendra embodies the power of resilience, compassion, and professional excellence and we are proud to have her as part of the Adapt team.
