Highlights from the 2025 Art of Prevention Event

by Adapt Prevention & Education

On Wednesday, May 14, Adapt Integrated Health Care’s Prevention and Education team hosted the Art of Prevention Art Show at the Roseburg Public Library — a vibrant and inspiring evening dedicated to showcasing the creativity, insight, and passion of local youth.

This year’s show featured an incredible 72 pieces of original artwork, each offering a unique and powerful perspective in one of four contest categories: substance use prevention, problem gambling and gaming prevention, suicide prevention, or general preventionThe gallery was filled with students, families, educators, and community members who gathered to celebrate these meaningful messages and the talented young artists behind them.

Throughout the evening, attendees engaged with the artwork, spoke with the artists, and reflected on the themes of hope, resilience, and prevention. The event also included a People’s Choice Award where community members cast their votes for their favorite pieces.

The Art of Prevention is more than an art show — it’s a platform for youth to use their voices to create positive change. We are deeply grateful to the students who submitted artwork, the educators who supported them, and the community members who joined us in celebrating prevention through art.
