Heather Miller received an Associate of Arts Transfer Degree from Central Oregon Community College and received a Bachelor of Science in General Social Science from University of Oregon. She completed an online program through the University of Oregon in Psychology in Translational Neuroscience while maintaining a 3.2 GPA or higher.

Her areas of practice include working for the District Attorney Office as a Trial Assistant, Community Mental Health as a Program Manager, Juvenile male prison as a Mental Health Coordinator/Supervisor/Counselor/Suicide Prevention Trainer/PbS Coordinator, a Substitute Teacher ranging from preschool through high school, Child Abuse Investigator, and a Group Life Coordinator for juvenile corrections going back through the past ten years.

While a DCYF PbS Coordinator, Heather managed conditions of confinement to meet DCYF and JR policies, assisted management and stakeholders around treatment and reducing room confinement, and managed and oversee the facilities PbS data collection, report analysis, facility improvement plans, training and technical support. As Designated Suicide Prevention Specialist she facilitated continuing education and training in the area of suicide prevention for both youth and staff. She was also provided licensed teaching services to schools ranging from Preschool through High School while a Restricted Substitute Teacher.

Heather Miller focuses include Human Development, Community Needs, Trauma Interventions, Neuroscience of Addiction and Abuse, Implementation Science, and Positive Psychology with specialized training in DBT, CBT, and ACT treatment models.

She believes in treating the whole person, embracing their unique strengths, challenges, and experiences to create an individualized path toward growth and well-being. Each person’s journey is shaped by their own story, and Heather is committed to approaching care with acceptance, compassion, and an openness to diverse perspectives. Her goal is not to “fix” anyone but to foster healing, helping individuals uncover their inner resilience and strengths by nurturing self-confidence and celebrating progress. Her aim to empower each person to navigate life’s complexities with a renewed sense of purpose and self-belief.

Heather holds that every experience, no matter how challenging, happens for a reason, offering an opportunity for growth and deeper understanding. Guided by this belief, she strives to provide care that honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit, helping individuals align with their true selves and their unique paths in life.
