At Adapt, we are committed to fostering educational growth and professional development through our comprehensive internship programs.
We offer a variety of placement opportunities across several disciplines including community wellness education (CWE), certified alcohol and drug counseling (CADC), behavioral health, and medical certifications.
Our programs are designed to provide rich learning experiences for both students and those transitioning into new careers in healthcare!
Applying for an Internship
Internship availability varies by program and location, so we recommend applying 3-4 months in advance of your desired start date.

- CWE and CADC Placements
- Opportunities are available for community college students and individuals pursuing certification in alcohol and drug counseling. For a detailed guide, please refer to our CADC Tip Sheet.

- Bachelor’s and Master’s Level Practicums
- We offer a limited number of placements for Bachelor’s level (e.g., BSW) and Master’s level clinical and macro-level human services (e.g., MSW, MS). Currently, these opportunities are primarily available in Douglas and Curry Counties.

- Medical Placements
- Internship opportunities for PA and NP students to gain required practice hours are available. We also collaborate with local clinics to support medical resident educational experiences.
