Larry Jones

Open Access Therapist, Adult Outpatient Mental Health

Larry Jones is a Qualified Mental Health Professional – Registered (QMHP-R) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III – Registered (CADC III-R) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (BS) from Southern Oregon University and a Master’s in Addiction Psychology (MS) from Capella University.

Larry joined Adapt Integrated Health Care in 2023 and currently serves as an Open Access Therapist for the Adult Outpatient Mental Health program. In this role, he specializes in intake assessments, diagnoses, and maintaining a small caseload. With nine years of prior experience in substance abuse counseling, Larry has held roles such as Counselor, Clinical Supervisor, Program Manager, and Clinical Director at various Jackson County agencies.

Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, Larry takes an eclectic, Person-Centered approach to therapy. He believes that clients are their own experts, and his role as a therapist is to assist them in discovering healthier ways to meet their needs. His therapeutic philosophy acknowledges that all behavior makes sense in the context of meeting unmet needs, emphasizing understanding and individualized care.

Larry’s professional interests include trauma work and Autism. Drawing from his own experience as an Autistic person who lived undiagnosed for decades, he brings a unique perspective to his practice. Larry understands the challenges of navigating a world that is not designed for neurodivergence and strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered.
