Family Nurse Practitioner
Skyler Meyer is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C). Born and raised in Roseburg, Oregon, Dr. Meyer graduated from Douglas High School and began his healthcare career in 1999 after earning an associate degree in nursing. He spent over 14 years as an emergency department nurse before pursuing advanced education.
Dr. Meyer earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and completed his Master of Science in Nursing at Gonzaga University in 2011. After initially working as a Nurse Practitioner in emergency medicine, he transitioned into primary care. To further enhance his practice, he obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Grand Canyon University.
Dedicated to delivering world-class, evidence-based care, Dr. Meyer provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. His expertise spans acute illnesses, chronic health conditions, mental health, and substance use disorders. As a clinical preceptor, Dr. Meyer mentors student nurse practitioners from various colleges and universities, sharing his knowledge and giving back to the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Meyer values time spent with his wife, children, and extended family. He enjoys hunting, camping, fishing, and traveling.
