SouthRiver Expands Telehealth in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SouthRiver Community Health Center announced the expansion of its telehealth services for both new and existing patients. With telehealth, patients can connect to a provider by phone or video often on the same day.

“We recognize the importance of helping our patients stay connected with their primary care and behavioral health providers during this challenging time, said Michelle Watson, SouthRiver’s Chief Operations Officer.

Telehealth services are available during regular clinic hours for patients seeking both medical care and behavioral health services. Because of the increased risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus, SouthRiver is limiting clinic visits to only those who absolutely must see their care team in person.

SouthRiver is unable to test for COVID-19 at its clinics. Patients who are ill with flu symptoms are asked to call ahead prior to coming into the clinic.

New and existing patients may call SouthRiver at 541-492-4550 to request telehealth services or visit www.southriverhealth.org for more information.
