She then moved to Oregon to complete her training, attending OHSU for three years to complete her Internal Medicine Residency, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
She has remained in the Pacific Northwest since that time, working for Public Health departments several times and spending a significant period at the Roseburg VAMC. Since leaving the VA, she has been dedicated to serving underserved populations, working for Adapt Integrated Healthcare since 2019.
Her career focus has always been on the prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles. She greatly prefers to prevent the ravages of poor health rather than treating them and their consequences. Additionally, she has worked to support sobriety and reduce the stigma surrounding addiction.
